Federation of Indian Associations Of Tampa Bay is an umbrella organization currently representing thirty six different Indian organizations in the greater Tampa Bay area. Since it’s inception in the year 2002 it has provided a forum to bring Indian Americans together in the Tampa Bay area to celebrate India Republic Day and Independence Day and organize community service events. FIA Of Tampa Bay is organized to bring together under one banner, all people of Indian Origin in Tampa Bay and surrounding areas for social, cultural, educational, religious and charitable purposes pursuant to section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code as amended.

The of FIA is very simple. It is “unity in diversity and service to the community”. Despite our tremendous diversity, as Indian Americans we are so similar in terms of our heritage, culture, roots, values and our civilization. We at FIA promote this common bond, unity and proud “Indianness”. Call for unity at FIA is not just a slogan, but it has a purpose. |
Ouris to celebrate our common culture and provide “service to the community” as stated in the second part of the FIA mission. It is service to the Indian community as well as to the Tampa Bay community. We have an obligation to give back some to the community we live in. This is our mission and the ultimate goal of FIA. This can only be done effectively by all of coming together to create strength and adequate resources. Together we can. |

Yoga Camp
Introductory yoga session will be held by Amy Droste and her students. Amy is an experienced yoga teacher at YMCA. Participants will be taught to perform ‘Sun salutations’ and other ‘Asana’ postures followed by brief meditation and relaxation.This will help you to lead a healthy and peaceful life and a good way to start the new year. Introduction of yoga to your children will be a lifelong treasure. Please bring a Yoga mat and a towel.
Time: Registration starts at 10 am. The workshop is for 1 hr.

Jewelry Workshop
Jewelry work shop will be conducted by Dr. Swarna Lokesh and friends. You will be taught to create a set of earrings, bracelets and necklace. This can be a great gift to friends, family and teachers as Christmas and New Year is fast approaching.
Time: 12 noon to 1 pm.

FIA Leadership Workshop
Leadership skills are learnt when one is young. What makes one a leader? Learn the finer facets of leadership in this workshop organized by FIA. This 3-day workshop covers Time Management, Team Dynamics, Parliamentary procedure and Public speaking. Workshop is open to 6th graders and above.
FIA Essay Competition
Participants will have 45 minutes to complete the essay. Writing can be both expository and persuasive.
