The of FIA is very simple. It is “unity in diversity and service to the community”. Despite our tremendous diversity, as Indian Americans we are so similar in terms of our heritage, culture, roots, values and our civilization. We at FIA promote this common bond, unity and proud “Indianness”. Call for unity at FIA is not just a slogan, but it has a purpose. |
Ouris to celebrate our common culture and provide “service to the community” as stated in the second part of the FIA mission. It is service to the Indian community as well as to the Tampa Bay community. We have an obligation to give back some to the community we live in. This is our mission and the ultimate goal of FIA. This can only be done effectively by all of coming together to create strength and adequate resources. Together we can. |

Some of the highlights of the book include:
- The theme of the book is about the Constitution (Republic Day is all about Constitution).
- Articles about Indian Constitution, US Constitution and people behind both the constitution
- Nicely designed cover page shows people behind Indian & US Constitution. Fine letters on the cover page is image of Magna Carta - a document created in year 1215 that became the guiding document for democracy all over

FIA Sponsored Jacket Drive was very successful, thanks to all of you who actively participated in sponsoring/collecting jackets for elementary school students of B C Graham Elementary and West Tampa Elementary School.
We started with modest goal of 50 jackets. At the end of the three week drive, we handed off 230 jackets to B C Graham Elementary and another 80 jackets to West Tampa Elementary – total of 310 jackets.
We appreciate the enthusiasm with which the high school students pursued this cause and collected money for new jackets and usable jackets.
Assistant Principal Ms. Stacie Kagel , Ms. Debbie Allan and Ms. Santana came to ICC on Sunday (12/16) for the handoff ceremony. They were all very appreciative of our effort. They have sent us a big card signed by students, the picture of which is enclosed here.
